Opening jam from the 'Rafters' on Saratoga Lake NY. Bass was pumpin' in your chest and the long line outside was swayin' and full of smiles. Electricity was in the air for yet another Saturday night at the Disco! <<<<>>>>>

One of my all time disco favorites. My brother produced a show in JC,NJ and brought the Tramps in to perform. Needless to say, it was a night to remember! This was the time when you were free to express your own personal rhythm in motion through dance and at the same time everyone was in unison with the sound. Love and Soul was alive through the music!

The best opening song a DJ can play to get a Disco crowd worked up.

As a person who grew up loving Rock music for the head....I grew to enjoy disco when the person I was seeing at the time went clubbing "without me". So I decided to go out on my own at man i gotta tell ya...dance was it during that time. Rock was good for the head but this song & music had your feet movin' & your hips groovin' The Trammps with this song made you feel good.As I said before 'Good Times".Peace 2 ya

You couldn't go wrong when you had Philly Int'l Records writing for you back then. Gamble & Huff, Ron Baker, McFadden & Whitehead, just too name a few. I thank my best friend at the time, Glenn (R.I. P.), for the timeless music he introduced me to. njpir....you hit it on the head.

I'm sure the kids of today love their clubs and love their music, but all of us lucky enough to have lived 70s NY, NJ, and Philly, we KNOW the real deal. I hear music like this and in SECONDS I am walking into Some Place Else, Xenon, Zanzibar's, Second Story, the Chez Paree, any one of DOZENS of ALL FABULOUS hotspots. Lord Have Mercy (like Jimmy Ellis says in this song)...we had fun on a scale quite incomprehensible to the kids of today. But with music like this, it was easy. 84 King Forever...
