Wow !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! its been a long time (im 65 now) but he played at our club regular at the The Northcote Arms in Southall Middx. When i was roadie in The Flying Saucers used to play at Pier Bar Southend plus Wild Angels and afterwoods it was always back to a Cafe around the corner that used to open up just for the bands playing around the area, what bloody days they were i could write a book. Keepon rockin lads.

@dogbix The musical style (rock´n´roll/rock ´a´billy) is as allways a matter of taste. I also much more like the old songs,..judging by the style. BUT Producting wize those old songs sounds like shit, compared to his newer stuff. And yes this old song is endeed produced by Dave Edmunds,..but the same Dave Edmunds also produced the "Lipstick..."-album in the 80´s. And you can clearly hear the difference in quallity! From the 80´s and foreward, the quallity became totally professionel.

Yearh they really played some fantasic songs. Sadly they played them very poorly and unprofessionel. No wonder Shaky first hit the charts when he dropped them Sunsets, and got himself some decent musicians and producers! Stuart Coleman!!! Someone should re-record those old Sunsets songs in a more professionel sound! It´s a Shame those great songs, has to sound like that!

Brilliant and ahead of its time. I think they might've been the first band to reintroduce the doghouse bass. I can't think of anybody else who used one back then.

this song is from a time, when shaky played real rock'n roll music and was not a commercial rockpopper as in the eighties
