This is The Hip as they are meant to be!! I saw them on this same tour - they played (believe it or not) 2 or 3 shows at the Silver Dollar Action centre in Calgary...a bowling alley covered with planks. I remember walkin in and the liquor license was somewhat obscure, but you had to have food with your beer so you got a ham sandwich when you exchanged the ticket...there was a pile of sandwiches at the front of the venue...we were just there for the beer! Great show!!

Bob is my cousin, great Canadian,great teacher and introduced me to the hip way back when.. He would later introduce me to the band in person. Bob rocks and I'm lucky to be part of the Watson bloodline. The Hip rocks!

Man, this footage is just unreal! Awesome!!! The first time I saw them was in Lethbridge Alberta in 1994 or 1995 right after the release of Day for Night. Such a killer band! This performance is so raw....love it!
