You can tell Motown invested so much into The Temptations until, the Jackson Five came along; then J 5 decided to go their own way. But everybody decided to go 'Hollywood'; and the eventual over the hill and down slope to the Motown empire. Could they not have just stayed in Detroit and 'given back' by continuing to build from there? Detroit could've become the Hollywood of the recording industry. But that's a thought to ponder.
