The fabulous Telefones! Three Dirkx brothers and a horn and keyboards player. From Dallas TX, and still playing around town from time to time. Wildly popular at all the clubs in 1979- 1983, winners of two Texas Music Awards, the most danceable music you'll hear of all the New Wave bands from the '80's. Jerry Dirkx has written hundreds of songs. Chris Dirkx, drummer and backing vocals, audits the Facebook page called "The Telefones (Official)" if you want to order DVDs of the albums (that were vinyl back in the day) or the award winning 45 RPM. Bass player Steve Dirkx has managed the DVD releases. (This is partly in answer to Larz Gustafsson's questions, below.)11 years ago
