Martin broke up with the Tea Party exactly for that reason! He didn't like the "commercial friendly" turn the band did on Seven Circles. Burrows and Chatwood wanted to commercialize their sound and stuff.

I remember understanding how special they were when I heard this album. But they fell apart over commercialism. Scott Stapp give me a god damn break. From the creators of this song. Materialistic idiots you're doing what you want why do you need a bigger audience? Gordie Jonson gave up BIg Sugar, went to Texas and played tiny shows in clubs, moving his own equipment around. Martin you egotist; such a shallow view is unworthy of your talent.
