Having a blast finding all the songs from my youth on here ..takes me right back ..looking back the clothes were a little iffy ..but there were some brilliant singers /songs that have stood the test of time "cheers" for the memories ;)

Listening to the radio yesterday this was the topic of the show and apparently the person in the middle was just some person they grabbed from the street and dressed for the performance. Obviously the group realised he was more harm than good for them hence the disappearance lol

LOL, and then there was 4... The guy in the center did not know the routine or maybe he was a little high. back in the day I attended a couple of shows @ the Royal Theater that featured the Tams and 2 of them were so loaded, LOL, they were messing up the dance routine...

The lead singer is the late Joe Pope in this video, Sue D. & Debbie M. After his death in 1996, Joe Pope was replaced by his brother, Charlie (one of the back up singers in this video). Charlie has since died (2013) and has been replaced by his son, Lil' Redd... The Tams are still touring...

I will never forget this group....totally brilliant back in the 70's....and I still can't help but watch them. Loved the lead singer....sadly I understand he is no longer with us...but his music, his group, his voice and his joie de vivre...still lives on!!
