Wrong. Stoner Metal bands combine the heavyness of Heavy Metal and Psychedelic/acid Rock riffs, as simple as that. And if a band sings about Fantasy, they would (generally) be classified as Power Metal.

I would agree for this album wholeheartedly with Bearsmuffin, but you should check out their previous albums, this one has crossed the line into heavy metal. They used to have a slower melodic doom metal sound that was a little more sabbathy

Mastodon is more geared towards their "progressive metal" sound. They don't embody the classic sound of Zeppelin, Sabbath, Sleep, and Blue Oyster Cult that people have to associate with "Heavy Metal". They are definitely on the list for post millennium metal, or at least bands that continue to use traditional instruments, but they really don't fall into the category with Sabbath.
