@janie1961 Well it is sorta true. I have a ton of Sweet bootlegs and Brian on all of em is doing horrible, very rough and strained. He was a great studio singer tho. All the high notes were always Andy Scott and Mick Tucker and Steve Priest

Yeah, Paul Whoeverthefuck, was the best singer Sweet ever had. I love how he does all of Brian Connolly's Hits!!! I also love the way he packs my grocieries but he always forgets to double bag. Keep it up Paully boy! Sweet would have never been anything without you!

okay, Brian was in a fight and got beat up pretty bad, and due to that altercation, his voice was damaged coupled with his alcohol abuse, it led to his singing voice being not what it used to be. but without a doubt, brian connolly was a great front man, and his voice on all their songs will always bethe best out of anyone who tries to cover their music

Also, little did anyone really know, Brian Connolly was really terrible at singing live. He was one of those guys that sang flat all through a song. This is the reason why those supposed "live" 70s videos on YouTube were Lip Synched. I liked his voice, but he was a studio guy. SInce they didnt have AutoTUne back then, I bet there were numerous takes, and that was common in the 70s. But later, you had to get it right the first few times or lose your job. Autotune does the singing today.

That was Paul Day singing. IMO the best singer for Sweet. The harmonies were synthetic by the way. And for those crying about Brian Connolly, I heard him do that song through the 80s and he sucked every time BAD. Believe me the only time the guy ever sounded good was in the 70s. Be thankful he got kicked out and replaced with better singers. They helped keep Sweet sounding sweet. I have this whole concert on DVD and wouldnt let it go for anything.
