Blackbird in the video drew me here. Missed my Birthday a bit playing it this year couple of weeks or so late, probably played 'Wide Awake' as it was a busy day. Lol. Latin for Blackbird, Turdus. Plain black bird, incredible amazing clearly audible song, beautiful free gold ring sparkly eyes full of intelligence, clears up the bird table after. They work dawn till dusk at least singing beautiful wake ups and goto sleeps. Birds see a false dawn as well that humans 'can't' before sunrise singing at what we refer to as 'crazy times'... Also the X-Mens aircraft... Awesome track and video. Happy Birthday Always Sugarcubes. X. Didn't catch the whole video on TV until now. Love the video. Table above the clouds with the band. I have to visit Iceland with that scenery. I was listening to the Sugarcubes and all sorts of what I think were class bands reading comics first time round getting ready to go out in the garden or out on my bike for a bit. Just like now a few years later keeping a shape together that I like till whenever the mind and motivation decide Bleh! Probably having bought some with hard earned Birthday money yet again. Lmao! Negli anni '80 Björk collaborò con Einar Örn Benediktsson ed Einar Melax dei Purrkurr Pillnikk, e Guðlaugur Óttarsson, Sigtryggur Baldursso e Birgir Morgensen dei Þeyr. Dopo aver scritto canzoni e provato assieme per due settimane, si esibirono con il nome di KUKL (che in islandese significa 'stregoneria'). Il gruppo si trovò bene a suonare assieme e decise di continuare, sviluppando un suono che alcuni hanno descritto come somigliante al goth rock. Björk iniziò a mostrare indicazioni di ciò che sarebbe diventato il suo caratteristico stile canoro.I KUKL si esibirono in Islanda assieme alla band punk anarchica inglese dei Crass, e in seguito visitarono il Regno Unito in una serie di esibizioni con i Flux of Pink Indians. Il gruppo produsse, come risultato di queste collaborazioni, due album: The Eye (1984) e Holidays in Europe (1986), entrambi per Crass Records.La band poi si dissolse, in parte a causa della chiusura della loro casa discografica Gramm. Nella metà del 1986, diversi membri dei KUKL e del gruppo surrealista Medusa si organizzarono insieme per fondare la Smekkleysa (Bad Taste), un collettivo di artisti. Crearono una nuova divisione musicale e una band chiamata ancora KUKL, ma poi cambiarono il nome in The Sugarcubes.
