@times3pointone4 Using words like "good" and "bad" is categorization as well. Categorizing music by genre just makes sense. It's just like movies, would you rather not call independent films indie films as well? I see no harm in categorization.13 years ago

@woodrowss Indie has become a term/prefix for music that slightly resembles a genre, but does something different that doesn't fit the box. Alternative wouldn't really be the correct choice because it's used for music with more controversial lyrics and darker subtones. Correct me if I'm wrong? yea i understand that words develop naturally."Alternative rock" developed in a similar but slightly more discernible manner than "indie". I hate the idea of "indie" cred.
