I miss my mom so much. She was taken not by death but by the cruelty of Dementia. It has been a very hard 14+ yrs. Seeing her in pain, lost is just cruelty at its worst. No lectures, no more stories of her life as a kid or young woman etc etc. Everything that I do know of her I have to keep and play over in my mind. It is very hard to describe the feelings that come along with Dementia. I cherish Any glimpse of hope, any moment of simplicity. Cherish your mom, hold her tight even when you think she's being hard because sometimes as the child we don't realize our parents story. We only want them to be perfection but fail to see they are only human too. I Hope everyone had a Blessed Mothers Day.
