Now, had it not been for these cats and the Moonglows, i would not even like DooWop. None like them. I was not even in first grade and l loved their singing. As an adult in ghe 80s l saw them singing at thhe Keyman's club on Chicago's west side. They TORE IT DOWN. All sounded almost the same. Pookie, omg, he was cool but when l asked for an autograph, he sermed a tad annoyed but i think it was about that venue. Who knows? R.I.P. Mr. Hudson

im sure we can all agree that wee need a definitive movie on the 50's singing group era. not just about one group or artist but about the whole experience and spirit of the time. sought of like a modern day rock around the clock!.

"Everyone's Laughing" (1957) -- by the Spaniels' second group -- is the second-best-seller after "Goodnight Sweetheart." In Gary, Indiana in 1991 researching my 1995 authorized biography "Goodnight Sweetheart, Goodnight: The Story of the Spaniels" (August Press), Pookie Hudson (lead) and Gerald Gregory (bass) -- who were with both groups -- asked the originals to do it for me a cappella. And what a treat it was... Richard G. Carter
