Wow I thought I was the only person in the world who knew this song! Sounds like a lost Rascals track

Philly was amazing back then! Center City was crowded with people out strolling, record shops blaring music into the streets. Muslims in sunglasses sold the Bilalian News while being eyed suspiciously from patrol cars. Trinket shops and hawkers were everywhere. It was an urban carnival right in the middle of one of America's most densely populated 12 blocks, and the only rule seemed to be to have fun. No wonder "blue-eyed soul' was invented there, for it was the greatest confluence between black and white during those tense times. Center City was the nation's incubator for racial equality. It was an exiting place to be, full of hope and uncertainty! Come on, who remembers?

One of the best heart felt soul tunes ever!!! I'm a huge Rascals fan, only natural that I would find the Soul Survivors. If anyone out there can share some links...this is great stuff!!! Jimbo Fairport, NY

No, this song is not any copy of the the Young Rascals by any means. It stands alone as pure soul music, irrespective of color. The beeps and car horns makes you visualize a freeway packed with cars, but to tie that in as an analogy with all the guys after the girl that he loves is nothing less than true art.

Nice tune but I'm wondering when someone will post "A change is gonna come" which is of course a cover of the Sam Cooke song. I believe it was on the B side of the Expressway album. Thanks
