Guitar cover - MIDI backing track used. Equipment: Mexican Fender Telecaster through Alesis GuitarFX pedal, direct into sound card. Audio recorded using Audacity. Reverb added post-recording using GVerb.

@dhowellbassist: I'm a big fan of your vids, so I really appreciate the comments. You are absolutely correct - I used the capo on 7 because I didn't want to re-tune (re-string) my guitar but wanted to keep the feel of the original recording (I'm not that keen on live recordings which I think Johnny played in standard tuning). I find it really tricky playing rhythm parts that high up the neck, so it wasn't my favourite track to record. It's probably a track I'll try recording again in the future.

Nice job! I'm curious. I saw one other person do at this capo setting. Was this from tab you found or was it a choice you made by ear? I learned this one using a different tuning altogether, and capo on 2. I'm almost 100% sure that's what JM was doing (high strung, capo on 2), but there are so many overdubs... could be a bunch of different tunings. Seems this capo setting allows standard tuning to replicate more of what it would sound like in that high tuning. Really well done.
