The Sick Lipstick was a lo-fi, no-fi, noise rock band from Canada who fused no wave, punk, and hints of riot grrrl into a challenging, confrontational sound. The act was started by Lindsay Gillard & Mark McLean after the demise of their previous band Black Cat#13 which featured Jesse Keeler (pre Death From Above 1979 & MSTRKRFT). The original lineup was baby voiced Lindsay on vocals & Mark on everything else. Later they were joined by Dennis Amos on drums, and Allan Graham on Guitar.. They released a handful of vinyl only releases on Sound Virus, Deleted Art & 5RC but still gathered a pretty large following due to the popularity of Black Cat#13.
