what fun! The guys were always fun to play with and Becky's voice made my fiddle sound prettier.

I remember many nights when the Shakers opened their live sets with this mystical gem, derived from the words used by the spirits to torment poor Betsy Bell. Tramp's fiddle is an aching caress, Robert's mandolin an echo from the Victorian shades. And Rebecca is a being rising from the caves of Adams, radiant in ghostly finery. Absolutely transporting -- to a very sweet place.

Saw them in Knoxville while a student at UTK (back in the day). Amazing! Her voice gives me shivers!

This video opens a faerie's nest of mountain streaming beauty. If only they could have managed a better engineered recording ie more balance, less treble and twang, and especially a higher fidelity (and greater separation)to the echanting contribution of each player, this and these other newly released you-tube performance tunes could have become truly viral. I wonder do their souls still possess the fire of creation they conjured in thosw sparking years ago? We love and miss you all. Shiva
