Who's the serious looking man before Alex Harvey starts?I think it's Dan McCafferty near the end, but I can't figure out the first man.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY Alistair Macdonald "Zal" Cleminson (born 4 May 1949, Glasgow, Scotland) is a Scottish guitarist, best known for his prominent role in The Sensational Alex Harvey Band during 1972-78.A self-taught guitarist, at the start of the 1970s he played and recorded with the Glasgow based band Tear Gas. The musicians in that band then provided the backbone for The Sensational Alex Harvey Band (SAHB). In his white-facepierrot make-up, audiences could not mistake him, or his guitar solos on stage with SAHB.In 1979, he joined Nazareth[1] and recorded two albums with them, 1979's No Mean City and 1980s Malice in Wonderland. When SAHB split up in 1977, they decided to tour as the ZAL BAND and they recruited The Tubes vocalist Leroi Jones, and 19 year old Billy Rankin on Guitar who later played with Nazareth. He also worked with Tandoori Casette and released an album. He was a regular guitarist with UK legend Elkie Brooks on many of her tours throughout the 1980s. He also wrote and played on Brooks' album, Minutes. Cleminson has also toured and recorded with Midge Ure and Bonnie Tyler.During the 90s, Cleminson played with The Party Boys, a casual band that at various times featured Marillion's Fish and Nazareth's Dan McCafferty and Billy Rankin as vocalists. This band became a reformed SAHB (Sensational Alex Harvey Band) in 1993 with 'Zero Zero' vocalist Stevie Doherty, and the band recorded a live album simply tited 'LIVE IN GLASGOW 93'.In 2004, SAHB reunited with The Shamen frontman Max Maxwell, and they performed various tours, and festivals from 2004-2008, releasing their first album since Rock Drill in 1978 titled ZALVATION: Live in the 21st Century. As well as performing with SAHB, Zal was a member of now disbanded outfits Ze Suicide, and Oskura. In 2006 he appeared in his début acting role as Wilson in the western film, A Shot in the West, for which he wrote the theme music. In early 2008 he announced his retirement from the music industry and stated he would never perform live again.

This is circus crap. They made some of the worst, corny, meaningless, pointless, gay, stupid, retarded, square music all time. This and the tea party song are 2 of the worst songs recorded in music history.

I saw SAHB about 1976 in Victoria, London. A friend had got me tickets and I agreed to go even though I hadn't even heard of them - except for this one single. What a brilliant stage act they were, I was so mesmerised looking at Alex and Za Cleminson. The next day I bought the album Tomorrow Belongs To Me - the title song was sung by the Hitler Youth in the film Cabaret starring Liza Minelli - and in no time I was hooked! Their music was addictive at times.

4th February 1982 : "Alex Harvey"Scottish singer Alex Harvey died of a heart attack while waiting to take a ferry back to shore after performing a concert with his new band, the Electric Cowboys. In an ambulance on the way to the hospital, he suffered a second heart attack, this one fatal. It occurred on the day before his 47th birthday, in Zeebrugge, Belgium. Formed Alex Harvey Big Soul Band in 1959 and then mid 1960's band Tear Gas. Had the 1975 UK No.7 single with Sensational Alex Harvey Band 'Delilah' and 1975 album 'Next'. The Sensational Alex Harvey Band - Delilah From the album : Live (1975)"Delilah" is a song recorded by Welsh singer Tom Jones in 1968. It was written by Barry Mason, with music by Les Reed.Although the song is a soulful rock-and-roll number, set in triple metre, the underlying genre may be considered to be a "Power Ballad" in the British Ballad tradition.Jones narrates the song as a betrayed lover who spies his woman in silhouette on a window blind as she makes love to another man. Although he realizes that she is no good for him, he becomes temporarily insane. Waiting until her paramour leaves, at break of day, he knocks on the door, which she opens, only to laugh in his face. He stabs her to death. Realizing his murderous act, the betrayed lover begs her forgiveness before the police come to break down the door and take him away.Jones' version features a big-band accompaniment set to a flamenco rhythm. The pitch of the final note is A4.

Great performance. I've watched this so many times I have to ask: does anyone know what the clip in the first few seconds of the video is from?
