@coolram1952 I like Linda Ronstadt too. She has the voice qualities I like. But Judith Durham gets my vote for at least my favorite. The observation you made about Judith's apparently effortless style is spot on. Even though the Seekers farewell performance happened 45 years ago one can appreciate the ease at which she still performs.

I've always thought that Linda Ronstadt had the greatest female voice ever, but Judith Durham certainly rivals her. One of these days I may change my mind. Linda is wonderful, but it seems like she has to work pretty hard for her effect, while Judith sings so effortlessly. That natural vibrato is spectacular.

@kcphillips1000 And both the opening and closing credits are available on youtube; the lyrics are somewhat different owing to their trying to relate to plot points. Lynn Redgrave as Georgina, the title character, shows in the opening montage her uncertainty about her ability to be attractive to men other than the rich man her father works for and who wants Georgina as a mistress even though his terminally-ill wife isn't quite dead yet. But don't misunderstand-- it's a comedy!

If I remember this song was used as the title track for a film of the same name in the sixties staring one of the Redgrave girls.I liked it then and I still like it now! This group seem to be able to turn any song into a masterpiece.

Just shows you. Even a good voice needs a better song.

The first time I've heard this song I was 7 years old. 37 years later is stilll one of my favorites, and I can't forget Judie's voice. It is so nice

Golden memories from the "Golden Sixties" . Let us call The Seekers " the voices of the World " for ever on ; and of course , Judith as THE ALL TIME VOICE !

She let the audience sing the "a little bit" part. Nice gesture!

Every time I hear the song it makes me happy. Reminds me as a kid growing up in the San Fernando Valley in the 60's. Judith has a wonderful voice that is great even in today's times. Man she sure can sing.
