The Savage Resurrection were a psychedelic rock band from the San Francisco Bay area. Founded in 1967, the group was signed to the major label Mercury Records, on which they released their eponymous debut in 1968. Singer Bill Harper and bassist Steve Lage quit the band shortly thereafter, leading to a premature demise of the group.

Thanks StringRamblerBale for posting this psychedelic masterpiece! Mind blowing, especially that savage Jeff Beck guitar riff.

I believe they were formed in Richmond, California! Pretty close to Berkeley AND San Francisco!

Last time I saw this in a dealer catalog it was 3 figures. I do not know what reissues and CD's have done to that collector price? Glad all are getting to enjoy listening to it. There are dozehs of these major and small label psych bands to look up. Good luck with finding vinyl originals. I think most went overseas about 20 years ago.

Another obscure Psych band!! Interesting how most of them were based in SF and West Coast USA...must have been something in the 'air up there'!!

@LizardKingJimLA69 I'm a 60 year old psych lover and I've heard of this band. It's so cool discovering things that we missed out on all those years ago.
