I really try to like the Residents, but so far it seems to me like they hit the record button and make a bunch of noises and then rearrange it, use some random samples and distort things and that's it... I mean who listens to this and be like "mmh yeah, that's my jam. gimme that dissonant guitar for half a minute. that's right and now let a cat walk over the piano!"

A friend of mine from the 70s and 80s was crazy about this group. Bought every album the day it came out. I actually never saw this song as anything other than torture that he used to inflict with a smile on unsuspecting visitors after they had a smoke. Thought I'd revisit it after 32 yers and my opinion hasn't changed. I was into Pere Ubu and Fred Frith but this is way beyond my listening. Pure masochism!
