What's with people saying "DIS BE ANTI RELIGIOUS!!!!" I don't think so. She doesn't actually mean Jesus, she just saying him because he's known to help you in the worse or lowest parts of your life. She's just refering Jesus as a person to help her, but there were no one to help here, they all "dissapeared"

I dont think this song have something to do with religion. Taylor was raised roman catholic(cause i was raised to believe in miracles) and also, once she said "My parents signed me up with Ford (modeling) at the age of 2. No 2-year-old wants to be working, but I had no choice. My whole life, I was in and out of school. I didn’t have friends. I was working constantly and I didn’t have a real life." - in song she is singing -Her father sold her to the trade when she was just a child, she was seventeen and never ever learned to smile" - so this could be about how she went into the entertainment business when she was very young and how every time she smiled it was purely for the press and to keep a good reputation, and never really smiled honestly. The whole suicide thing could be about her turning to "the dark side" and changing her image. "Devil's advocate" - people just start talking bad about her and her image and style she has, they didn't approve of who she is becoming, and the "you don't know the half of it" is to all those people, how they have no idea what she's been through and why she is the way she is.

You guys dont understand this i do. She was born in the worst of life just like me the trade is a bad place. For all of u ignorants the trade is where they sell kids for protitutions and other organizations. she is saying god never saved her so she realized she didnt give a fuck about the so called sins. Thats why it says "you wanna call me the devil's advocate but you dont know the half of it" because she went through stuff that she had to save herself from no one helped her. I understand perfectly.
