So...I'm kind of torn. On one hand, I love Taylor Momsen, and her music and she seems like a nice person. And I plan to be a musician myself, but I know I would never use sex appeal. I just don't want to be seen just for my body and sexiness, and like Taylor herself said, the whole raunchiness did overshadow the music at the time. But...If I'm being honest, this concert did kinda seem fun, just light-hearted fun. The thing is though, at least Taylor Momsen is honest, she acted like this when she felt like it was her thing, and then she left it, cuz she grew out of it. Any mainstream musician would continue acting like this for the attention and press. Here's the fucked up part though, she was 16 at the time the Make Me Wanna Die video came out, and she strips in that. And she may or may not have admitted to having relationships when she was young, with older guys. And while I do find that repulsive, I don't completely blame her. She was a child star, and her image and her career were completely manufactured by the industry. And I know I'm taking it too far by thinking this, but, I really hope she wasn't...exploited when she was a child. Pedophilia is extremely common in Hollywood. And child stars who have been molested do end up acting like this, I'm so afraid that she was groomed or some shit. It's a really far fetched thought, but you look at other celebrities who have been sexually assaulted, they end up acting really sexual in their teens. Maybe she was just acting sexual for the kicks, maybe I'm thinking way too much, but it is more likely than many people may want to think. Of course, I still love the pretty reckless and I love her...And whatever the industry did to her, she realised that she didn't want to be a product anymore, and decided that she was gonna do whatever she wants, and that's a really good thing...
