Sometimes there is a song you discover, but it's not until years later that you discover the song's actual deeper beauty and brilliance. For me, this is one of those songs. I first heard it several years ago, but really "heard" it about one year ago. Now it just gets more beautiful every time I hear it. So delicate and admittedly somber, yet still so very, very beautiful...
So beautiful and scared
She walks down the stairs
She speaks about the world
How it always hides and turns
Turns away
If I could colour the world black
It would make a perfect match
With your soul
Dark lines in your face
As your make-up fades away
Fades away
You never knew
I loved you
