Ten years later, the band has presented fans with Together, a calmer rock record that testifies to the Pornos' evolution over the span of a decade. They've been lauded, they've been loathed, but they're still making music. I spoke to Carl Newman and Kathryn Calder about their career, and life on the road.

Good interview. The nice thing about critics and reviewers these days is that you can completely ignore them. You can check out a band's web site or search around on YouTube to find out what they sound like. Before the web, if a band was getting little or no airplay, your had to rely on written reviews to figure out whether to take a chance on buying their disk (yep - back in the day, you had to do that too!)14 years ago
