I don't really care about pagan origins of Christmas. It's a quite innocent reason to try to be happy, sometimes even a better person... and not too consumist if possible ;)I don't think Jesus would be angry about it.

Christmas was set to be on the 25th of December by constantine who was a pagan and the reason was because the Pagan gods were born on the 25th of December ,The Christmas tree and all the decorations are pagan tradition ,Don't believe me search for Yourself !!!

I know Christmas is NOT about the tree, BUT... if we left it up all year, would it not give us something to think about?? If we left up the lights, would it not give us that Christmas feeling?? PERHAPS THEN, we'd have that feeling of Christmas. I know!! I know!! It's about the Messiah, not about the tree. I'm just saying we need a visual to remind us of the King in my life!!

Christmas was never, ever a pagan holiday. It is on or near the day of the winter solstice, a day which virtually every religion celebrates. Neither the 'pagans' nor the Christians own December 25th. Christmas was always a Christian holiday.

@todayfaith well actually, Christmas was originally a holiday made by the Roman pagans and had nothing to do with the "Christian Faith". It was adopted by the Christian but it wasn't necessarily made by the faith. As for the wars, last time I checked the bible kind of added to the problem. The only thing really the bible is good for is trying to imagine a better and happy happier place [When I say this, I mean the belief that when they die they'll be greeted by people they know in heaven]
