Haven't heard this song in 20 years. Loved it when it first came out but because of over play on radio and hearing it day in and day out thousands of times, I actually grew sick of it. My God what a great song! I love it more than I used to.The Moody Blues were a fantastic band. They just don't make them like that anymore. Sad.

In the late 60's I remarked to a member of the SDS (Students for Democratic Reform) that I liked this song. He sternly replied that it was an anti-war song. - At the time, his spelling of "Nights" made sense. Imagine my surprise when the band leader explained last year on NPR that the song centered around a set of satin sheets he received for Christmas! - Gary
