This song screams to me about the need for us to focus on helping those addicted become sober and whole again all the refrains about how the singer will be alright point directly to the suffering addict even the part about what was taken I will fix or I'll replace don't worry bout me I'm alright screams the truth that what is wrong with the real victim the addict is far more difficult to fix or replace the singer is sad because so many focus on his wallet being stolen and the few lumps he took from the beating. But so few even realize how much real care needs to be given to the addict.13 years ago

This song is an expression of real strength. Even though the narrator had something terrible happen to him, he realizes that something a lot worse caused it. To be that aware and even forgiving requires real strength and toughness.13 years ago
