I totally see where you're coming from. I learned to buy strap locks after playing my first basement show. I had a kid smack my bass right out of my hands, off of the strap, and split the neck. Luckily Fender warranties are pretty lenient (I now use strap locks). But I just hate seeing kids get hurt who just want to enjoy the show. To each their own I guess. Keep playing shows, kids need more music in their lives. Sorry for being a douche.

and plus, nobody is ever out to hurt anybody. if you get hurt it's most likely by accident. unless you go see a serious hardcore band. then it's okay to die

People will express themselves however they want at shows. This will never change and sometimes kids do get beat up at these shows, but to most, the black eyes and bloody noses are like badges. I'll still dive no matter how many times I break my shit.

Didn't I just say I was at a show last week? I go to shows often. I can hold my own, and I don't put myself in the pit, because I want to see the band. I'm talking about other kids, minding their own business, who are collateral damage to some kids' swing kicks or stage dive. Plus my local venue is pretty historical and kids go tearing lights down and kicking the ceiling and ruining the place. Probably kids like you, with no sense of respect for anything.

if kids want to not get hurt they can stay at home and watch punk shows on youtube like you. you come to a show and go in the pit and its like signing your own death warrant. you know what you are getting yourself in to and its not for the meek. You're probably one of those poor souls in the pit that wonders why everyones touching him. and fyi, ive had my nose broken 2 times in pits. Go to punk shows for the raw emotion and the power that you find there. not sing-a-long time you fuck.

What are you talking about? I'm said kids should be able to enjoy themselves without other people hurting them. I was at a show last week where some kid elbowed a girl in the face and she had to go to the emergency room. That's not punk rock, thats being an asshole. If you're at a punk show, and someone sent you to the emergency room, how would you feel? Most shows ban moshing/ stage diving now anyway.

lol yes. and lets make punk rock safe. maybe make everyone wear pads. and no more cursing because that sparks violence and thats bad mmmkay.

"You cut my hair, you left red ink everywhere. Do my hands tell a story? Is it boring?" Anyone know what this lyric means?
