i love listening to demos of songs, and seeing how they've come along.

@pangtjoff essentially yes music is just a bunch of sounds mixed together to fill in gaps between each other's silences, but Mars Volta took that notion too literally in later albums. They had songs that were 20 minutes long that could've been only at least 5-7 had they not messed around with sound effects unneccessarily.

@ShadowCrowX There is no point to any music, it's all just sound. And as long as I like the sounds that I'm hearing, it doesn't matter if it lasts 30 mins, 7 mins or 5 secs...

Mars Volta should always stick to making songs 7 mins MAX. When they get to the point they are a very good band
