The first, short, normal speed version. LOL. You might find my choice of track to accompany a bit strange, but in my little musical world, it works. I love the overblown symphonic grandeur of it....the sentiment of 'You and I must fight for our rights, You and I must fight to survive'. I think there is a great beauty to this song and I think Brian may have approved. The group often merge rock with classical - although that is not apparent in this track. The song is 'Knights of Cydonia' by Muse, possibly the greatest live band in the world, at the moment. xxxx Any feedback appreciated! xxxxxxxxxxxxx Long Live Sir Brian of Jones!!!!

Brian was the leader who pushed the band into early success. Mick and Keith had no idea how to deal with the press. Not a knock on them. They know what they owe him.

Man, this is awesome. I'm really gonna have to check out some more Muse! I reckon Jonesy would've approved, glad to see he gets some love here on YouTube. Fingalcrom, my friend, this is brilliant! IMO, everything the Stones recorded from '63-'81 kicks ass all the way, and Brian was a big part of that, though his detractors like Andy Smith try to paint a different picture. Seriously, the Brian-haters are some of the dumbest, bitchiest, hypocritical cocksuckers on the planet. They trample over Brian's grave for having a few vices, yet they conveniently forget that the other Stones, as well as themselves, are not perfect little angels either. So, according to their fucked up logic, it's not okay for Brian to trip balls in the 60's, yet it's fine and dandy for Keith to get his balls chopped off by junk in the 70's? And they call themselves Stones fans? They are so full of shit, it's hilarious.

re: andy smith:brian's death was accidental. the kennedy brothers and martin luther kng were all killed by lone-crazed-assassins. tony blair was and still is a socialist. saddam had weapons of mass destruction. leave me in peace; there's a re-run of east enders on tv.

Mary, it's from the "Ready Steady Go!" collection. This was when the Stones, Andrew Oldham & Cathy McGowan pantomined Sonny & Cher's "I Got You Babe" Brian played Sonny, and Cathy (RSG's hostess) played Cher. It might even still be up here. It definitely is a "goodie" LOL

LOL! It nearly was We Love You - but I used this instead because the timings fit better! xxx

LOL! So far from the truth. Brian EMPLOYED Mick as the lead singer. He didn't even want Mick originally! He wanted Paul Jones, who later sang with Manfred Mann. The Stones were Brian's baby, his idea, his creation. Go Brian Jones.
