Captivating, Sublime, Breathtaking and any other wondrous word you can think of... The Kings Singers always deliver, this is utterly Soul-filling... thanks for posting another Kings Singers gem @napat14. Best regards from one fan of TKS to another, from Wales .. :0)x

@GiachesDeWert e secondo te è corretto l'uso di WHOSE in "(..) Matona mia cara, WHOSE lyrics" etc. etc. ..? Non riesco a trovare un corrispettivo di "cui" in inglese riferito a cose e animali, perché mi sembrava che WHOSE potesse usarsi solo per le persone...

@GiachesDeWert Yes, you're right about La Bella Franceschina. The lyrics there sound very "messed up", but maybe they're not strictly ill-formed as regarding italian grammar rules. Still, they sound a bit incomprehensible to me :) I was probably thinking about "Matona mia cara", whose lyrics are REALLY uncorrect, and with the specific purpose to sound roughly translated from german to italian (like a very rude serenade from a german Landsknecht to an italian lady :) ) So I agree with you :)

@Astraios91 Right! I noticed the typo on the CD box as well. Moreover, if you have a look to the video ( Madrigal History Tour Introduction Part 2, posted by fhunricse) you hear that the King's Singers themselves introduce the madrigal with the correct name. Ciao! G.

@injuryandinsult May be I'm wrong (correct me!) I would't call the lyrics of La Bella Franceschina "uncorrect", at least not in the usual sense: they sound weird (or "incorrect") to our ears of modern Italians, but that's a mix of arcaisms, dialect and of intentional distortions made for expressive purpose. I feel them as (extremely) daring choices more than real "mistakes" Do you agree I'd like if we could clarify this to the use of interested non native Italian readers. Ciao!

@dra1vunkuddah Yes, Ultimi Miei Sospiri :) though I have no idea if the mistake was made back in the 16th century or now by Napat14 :) there are some other madrigals or italian compositions (as La Bella Franceschina, whose lyrics are uncorrect in Italian) whose titles or lyrics have been mistaken sources: I'm italian:)

right, it should be ... I think on the Madrigal History Tour CD box the title was accidently incorrect and the uploader of this video just copied the name ...

yes, you are right about the title.

Right (for sure, i'm italian). But this typo does not prevent me for being fully grateful to the contributor of this extraordinary gem. Thanks napat14 !

Oggi non "nascono" più Maestri di questa levatura, perchè l'educazione musicale e compositiva, tralascia e spesso ignora,un patrimonio artistico del genere, dal quale bisognerebbe invece attingere con immensa e reverenziale gratitudine.
