I mean they could and in a way did. What I was getting at was that the Bioshocks we now of didn't do that and I didn't see a need (still don't) nor an explanation for such a design decision. I'm not saying "They can't do it", I'm saying "Why would they?". I think the argument still stands that fiction should be backed by it's own set of world rules and not be a "Anything can happen wonderland".

I guess the point is mute now anyway but if you'd like me to explain anyway, here I go: A flying city, to my knowledge, has not been yet invented, therefor it's fiction. Mixing up the era of music without a given purpose (which Bioshock Infinite does have) makes no sense though.

Actually...there's music from the 80's in it lmao The main female character has the ability to affect space/time and causes "tears" in the fabric of space/time resulting in such phenomena.
