Listen, I know it's Jeff Lynne and all, man......But Dave Pritchard's songwriting is nothing to scoff at here, at all. This song is right up there with Lynne's best Idle Race tunes! Super catchy! Yeah the album gets weird, it gets SUPER weird (in the best ways), but it also gets very catchy and poppy on Lynne's part as well throughout the album (and definitely the next Idle Race album)! One of the things I love most about this album is its versatility and dynamic sound! It's all great. I think this song compliments the album, and the Idle Race catalog, very well.12 years ago

I know Jeff had to let the other band members contribute, but this tune sounds so out of place on the Birthday Party. Only Roy Wood complimented Jeff Lynnes style and added anything extra in these early days in my book. Its just a pity Woody didnt go a bit more pop in the mid 70s and become as famous world wide.Videos Relacionados
