Was bought this for MY birthday by (female) singer in our band at the time it came out, I think I played holes in it - still know a lot of the words today.The back of the album parodied Sergeant Peppers with a montage of the good and great of the time attending a Birthday Party.Fabulous melodies and lyrics from Jeff Lynne, a taste of the things to come.11 years ago

A dislike means a brain dead person. The Idle race are one of the best of the 60s and Jeff Lynne was already an amazing singer and songwriter. He wrote nearly all their material. As you can probably guess I love The Move both before and with Jeff Lynne and Electric Light Orchestra. I wish he'd make up with Bev Bevan I heard a really long time ago they'd gone from best friends to complete hatred which is really a shame.11 years ago
