One of my favourite songs by one of my favourite bands of ALL time. I saw Ian McNabb live a couple of years back at The Academy in Newcastle, he's still got it!

Brilliant song! This version - with the fade-in and without the instrumental passage after the first verse. I've called it my favourite track of the 1980s on more than one occasion.

Hey, Davey: Be warned: this come across quite loud... I was reminded of this after my mention of Scott Walker...lead singer has same resonance and tone...There's a live performance somewhere on YouTube which features a great intro from a young and pretty Jools Holland...tee hee! I never pursued this band or its career...there a couple of other good tracks on the one and only album I bought. xxx
