was pleased to discover that one of my fav '90's bands, The House Of Love, had actually reunited a few years back and dropped a new album in 2013 (She Paints Words in Red) which is quite good and refrains their style from the 90's. Chadwick's voice is great and his lyrics are often oblique and interesting, a bit like Martin Phillips of The Chills, another favorite of mine.I had picked these guys to be huge/ bigger than Radiohead (who started about the same time) -- and wasn't alone in that: NME and Melody Maker considered them to be the best new band when they started -- but the world was more in grunge- than pop-phase at the time.
