My take on it is that the narrator does not talk about the girl like she is a human, but rather an object for his enjoyment. I refer to the second verse when he says that "(he) likes the way that it's body lies on my bed". He doesn't say "your" body, he actually says "its" (regarding her face). It sounds like he is only sexually attracted to her but has deluded himself into thinking that there is something more to it. I like the song, but the narrator is extremely skeevy in my mind.
