The Honor System were a band from Chicago. when the legendary Chicago pop punk band the Broadways broke up, two new bands were formed out of its members. one was a little band called the Lawrence Arms. the other was The Honor System. while obviously they never had quite the same success as the Arms, they were an amazing band that any fan of the genre should be able to appreciate.

this song is from their first full length called Single File, which was put out by Asian Man Records back in 2000. it's criminally underrated, one of my favorite records ever. if you like this then track it down, you won't be disappointed. enjoy!

Hey it's my pleasure! this whole record is one of my absolute favorites. it's crazy how overlooked this band is, I guess because a lot of the members' other "projects" and their associated acts were much more successful. But to me, this will always be the greatest release to come out of that whole little scene

such a brilliant song. I particularly love the guitar on the pre-chorus. it's probably my favourite on this album - great lyrics as always from Dan Hanaway.
