I mean, if these guys went from those young kids in that pic to what they looked like at the Last Waltz, maybe Robbie had a point about the road being hard...

It's Levon singing, you dummies. He's just singing in a higher key here than he did those classic Band songs. He settled in a lower register to get all that resonance in his voice, and to give Rick Danko space to sing above him.

I can't believe people think this is Ronnie Hawkins on the lead vocal....these jabronies need to listen to Forty Days or Mary Lou by Ronnie Hawkins and then come back and take a listen to this. It's quite obvious this is Levon singing the lead.

Seriously? Do you really think maintaining a website hosting billions of videos is cheap? They DO need the ads to keep it free. Not to mention to make a profit. Besides quit bitching, 90% of the ads are skip after five seconds anyway.

Who's the guy on the left?

Yeah. I want a piece of that action. That's Levon. The only "diction training" involved here is a matter of 50 years of aging in the lips and gums. The vowel sounds give it away - That's Levon.

So ive been wrong before. the liner notes to"The Band A musical history box set." credits levon on vocal. Robbie on guitar and rick danko on bass.

I've been a Levon Helm fan longer than you've probably been alive. If it's Levon like you claim, then he had intensive diction training.. One doesn't loose that distinctive Levon Southern drawl at the drop of a hat.. Show me that 'documented fact on this particular tract
