Search "Kinks Opening/Hard Way" for a live version of the original (and stick with it because it segways into it after an initial unrelated instrumental)

They looked like 4 upperclassmen plucked from the Alpha Epsilon Pi house at the University of Illinois...

Get the Knack. My favorite Beatles album of all time. Yeah, kids it was THAT good. But of course good things don't last. This should have been the band of the 80's. Instead we got U2.

Their comeback album " Serious Fun" was a great album too ,; its a shame the record company folded before the album was able to get any real promotion.

@dytakeda Nice try, Paisan. However, "Can't Explain" was written, according to Townsend, to satisfy producers' demands that they sound more like the Kinks.

No way. After "Fool In the Rain," the rest of "In Through the Out Door" only got progressively worse. "Get the Knack" and "London Calling" were far better and far more significant albums.

Not really. I like that album a lot, but that wasn't even Zep's best. The most important record of '79 was London Calling, which in it's own way, like Get The Knack returned rock to it's roots while still steeped in the modern sound of the day.
