Off their classic 1981 album "Fire of Love"

I can see clearly

from my diamond eyes,

I'm going to the mountain with the Fire Spirit

no-one will accept all of me

so the Fire...will stop

Up through the streets

the gunfire of cars,

going to the mountain with the Fire Spirit

no-one will take all of me

so the Fire...will stop

I will be cheating

the whole ritual,

I'm going to the mountain with the Fire Spirit

no-one will expect all of me

so the Fire..will stop

Someone will break out of the circle,

someone will turn and burn a world

someone knows a better cell

where the old north wind blows through southeast hell, yeah....

Invention was betrayed by the machine,

promised like it was promised to me

I'm going up to the mountain to see

how the last thing, will set me free, yeah...

I had to do something, I was wearing down,

I was going down....

Why can no one ever touch a Fire Spirit?

Why can no one ever hold a Fire Spirit?

Why can no one ever feel a Fire Spirit?

I am going to the mountain,

I am going to the mountain,

I am going to the montain....

I can see clearly

from my diamond eyes,

I'm going to the mountain with the Fire Spirit,

no one will accept all of me...

and the fire...will stop...

With too much patience

and too much pain,

going to the mountain with the Fire Spirit

to make amends for all of me...

and the Fire...will stop.

Part of the early Punk scene. Worked with Chris Stein of Blondie and also Chris D. of The Flesh Eaters and Tito Larriva of Los Plugz. Had former members of the bags such as Rob Ritter who changed his name to Rob Graves and formed 45 Grave. Brian Tristan, later renamed Kid Congo Powers left to play with The Cramps

Erm, no. The Gun Club, as someone else stated, wasn't a popular group in the 80's. The term Indie Rock says it all ; it means the music has been recorded on an independent label. Actually, now there's the net, some groups who would not have been easily signed by majors get the deal - Odd Future for example - no one would have offered them 30 years ago. I think it's much easier nowadays than it was if you do quality music cause you get so much more possibilities of coverage. Just saying.

Is this for real? lol! Let me have a think : I imagine you could try getting it from a second hand record shop, search it on the net, or from someone who's got it and couldn't care less. A friend of mine collects original punk records and gets his hands on everything he really looks for. I suppose he's just... motivated? I'm sure you can find it quite easily, maybe advertising you're looking for it on the net. And good luck, you will find it! ;))

You do realize that basically the only way to be popular NOWADAYS is when the labels think you're good at brainwashing female teenagers, and then they choose to dump a bunch of money into one person, right? Music is about image, promotion, and money now. If you don't quite get it, well...imagine that Katy Perry was 200 pounds. You think anyone would like her music then?
