its not just that. Bloodbath has more advanced music. i can't listen to most of them anymore cuz they are too damn simple. but Bloodbath changes up the riffs often, and has a variety of different kinds of riffs. which bands of the same style do you think can compare? i'd have to listen more to Grotesquery to really judge it, but on first listen it doesn't strike me as being much above average, and not anywhere near as creative & progressive as Bloodbath

Of course there will be comparision between these 2 bands. They all play death metal, oldschool Swedish death metal to be more specific However, i still get baffled by how Bloodbath get praised heavily while many other current bands that play the same style don't get notice too much, this band being a remarkable example. I guess it's due to the fact that Bloodbath has a lot of metal superstars (Mikael, Peter Tagtren etc.) backing up

I think it was Nightmare Made Flesh, at first I liked it but after a short while I thought it all sounded the same. I can hear the similarities now though.

I don't know which Bloodbath albums you've listened to, but personally I think Nightmares Made Flesh and The Fathomless Mastery are both masterpieces of the genre.
