I completely forgot this video exsisted. Watching it back after a year or two, I actually sort of prefer it to the 'proper' video. Why that is, I have no idea, there's nothing exceptional about this or anything that really stands out, but for whatever the reason is, I prefer it. :)

I, personally, am not a fan of the 'Band shot' in music videos (Unless there is a hook). Lets say I have a budget of $1000: I would like to make something people actually watch: Something with a cool hook/story (See: Pitchfork Machine by Minus World - but that is stretching it, or Americanarama by Hollerado) something that will have viewers actually watch the video itself instead of just toss it in another tab to listen to it.

I didn't say it was bad. Just I, PERSONALLY, found it a tad boring for a music video. the song is good, and it is well made! just the content of the video is fairly boring. How would I do it? Look up TKO Tokyo by Gloryhound. Similar idea (Band playing in a nearly empty space etc.) but there is a hook with the roller derby girls. Look up Gimmie Sympathy by Metric. Again: Band playing in a nearly empty room, you can see a bunch of the lights in it but it has a really neat hook

Well shot, but overall the video is fairly boring :/ just band playing with some lighting. No hook and overly flashy.
