We have about the same mix down here in rural Texas. I've seen fox a few times, but they're very reclusive. Coyotes, on the other hand, are all over the place.

@Pangael Sorry mate, but that's wrong. Fox hunting was banned in England in 2005 and it's precisely because Fox numbers have increased since then that they have started living in towns where food is more easily available. Most people in the towns don't mind the foxes though as they're quite shy animals. Although their calls can be a bit creepy.

Here the invasive coyote hybrids are eating the foxes, (along with pets and livestock) much more humane, and no jobs created by fox hunts or reason to keep horses around.
