Way ahead of its time. If I didn't know the name of this I would have assumed it was a lost INXS track from the 90's.

I'm glad it sounds modern to someone! I wrote this song (words and music) in 1966 after finding my roof was letting in rain water. I demod'd it in the hope that the Animal would do a blues versiion. Utterly amazed at the Flies' version. Didn't like it then, but love it now. it's taken me all this time. Glad to see people are still buying copies of it. I wish they'd bought it at the time.

Yes, it´s really a unique and "modern" sound. The guys in the studio must have been something special and ahead of their time. I really like this track. I´m a big fan of rock music from the 60s and my hobby is to rediscover all the great bands that did´nt break through. Listen, for example, to THE ZETTLERS and their versions of "Skinnie Minnie" and "Beautiful Delilah". Really f......g good and with a bloody driving beat. The recordings were made 1965. Unbelievable!!!
