Lyrics:

Walk with me to my mountain's top

From it's vantage point

Is mourning on the faces of those who sleep

Sleep with no dreams

Follow me and I will show you where to follow yourself

In solitude above

Watching down below

Upon my shoulders collecting is the snow

Overwhelmed in a grievous revelation

Peering through exhausted pale eyes

Into darkness, where the antiquated lie

The winter of distress

Beneath the weight of knowledge

The frostbitten paths to salvation

Are strewn with unmarked graves

Overwhelmed in a grievous revelation

Peering through exhausted pale eyes

Into darkness, where the antiquated lie

And so I wander as the thief in the night

These lonesome footsteps steal only your burden

And where it's wait lie, I leave the alms of truth

A proclamation falling onto deaf ears.

There is a typo in the lyric description. It says "And where its wait lie." It should say "And where its weight lie." The lyrics are talking about a burden, not a period of time.

This sounds a ton like Dirge for November by Opeth (at least the intro does). That's good, nothing wrong with that! It is commendable to musically cite your influences. :^)

the very end, just picture zarathustra on the mountaintop for the last time, looking down on a world not of his own, but finds peace within solitude. truly a beautiful end to an amazing album!

Chuck Schuldiner (Death)Michael Keene (The Faceless)Muhammed Suicmez (Necrophagist)Galder (Old Mans Child/Dimmu Borgir)Luca Turilli (Rhapsody) :PThey are not only good technical guitarists. They are amazing composers and masterminds. This is what makes them unique. Thats why they are my favouriteLet everyone else (Steve Vai, Michael Angelo Batio, Malmsteen...and the rest of the shredders) argue about speed and technique...

I always have to facepalm when I see these "this part sounds similar to this song, such a rip off." This is metal we're talking about, as diverse as it is every band sounds like 20 other bands. I bet if The Faceless ripped off one riff of some other tech death band nobody would notice. I love this album because it sets the band apart from so many other because they're using elements inspired by bands outside of tech death, but still have everything that makes them the Faceless. You can't just say this one chord progression sounds like part of an opeth song, therefor the band is ripping off Opeth. I think it takes more than one mere similarity to constitute ripping off, you have to consider the context of compostion, look at the entire song. If I heard this song blind before the album rerleased, I'd say "This sounds like a Faceless song with a lot of Extol influence." A song can be very heavily influenced and still be original, 100% originality is inhumanly possible.
