I remember seeing them perform right before they became famous. I was stationed as a Navy medical corpsman at the Marine base in Camp Lejeune, North Carolina and saw them at a local club outside the base. Then they released "Easier Said Than Done" and their careers took off. They had to complete their service obligations which interferred with their touring but they proved you could be in the military and still make a number one song.
