This is the 51st state

Where democracy has failed

We've a war on our consciences and blood under our nails

Oil drums but we're still paying at the pump

Oil drums it's a mystery how we got so dumb

Oil drums gotta tell 'em we don't want they're war

Oil drums and then the government will fall

This is the 51st state

where the people have no voice

we've been looking for a leader

but we never had a choice

Oil drums but we're still paying at the pump

Oil drums it's a mystery how we got so dumb

Oil drums gotta tell 'em we don't want they're war

Oil drums and then the government will fall

Magnificent Seven has a child song! I was looking for another song that sounded like that sort of thing....

Clash style composition... So what? It fits well in their set, Babyshambles made a Kinks or Count Five style song and it works well amung the Fuck Forevers and the Albions, we love it, it's called "Delivery". So wrighting in the style of another artist isnt neccessarilly rong. I'm sure influencing younger bands was amung Joe and Mick's wishes...

who gives a fuck is they sound like the clash you obviously know this because you listen to the clahs, so you should be thankfull of bands sounding like the clash which is better than them sounding liek shity mcfly etc ..

could you tell us the name of the songs they ripped out? cause perhaps you don´t know but there are standard rock rythm and thta´s why you think you´ve herad it before, not because they are copying it

Thats your opinion and it doesn't make it right its just a matter of choice so if you dont like the music then why are listening? Oh thats right, your just here to slag off the band and the people who listen to it because you've nothing better to do... pretty sad really.

Theres a difference between being influenced by bands, and completely copying their music. Checkout girls and Red Tape are just unbeleiveable, i dont know how they got away with it. The Enemy are shit anyway, if you like them you should be given a good thrashing. Just more britpop indie shite with layers of guitars. Boring.

more to the point, is it me or does it sound like hes saying "up the bum" at 42 seconds... and all this chat about them rippin off bands, yer some tunes are clearly influenced but there still good its not neccesarily a bad thing.
