Lyrics:

the whites of her eyes, porcelain.

her voice so ambient as I release

we loved her Once.

in her mouth, in her mouth.

she lives in the peripheral and listens.

she kills in the peripheral and glory speaks her name

glory cuts her face.

We are drenched in sin.

we are the infinite.

Infinite.

lost in abstract wounds

drink from abstract wounds

the whispers distract from the cutting.

lost in abstract wounds

drink from abstract wounds

this small sense of pride.

This can't be! no stop. NO STOP!

Solvents soaked in her blood.

Solvents soaked in her blood.

This was the first band I can honestly point to and say, that before the vocalist change, all they were doing, was just trying to copy and/or out play The Dillinger Escape Plan. Things changed though with the new vocalist, and so did the sound.

Original vocalist of "The End" was Tyler Semrick-Palmateer (I am not sure how you spell it) he left sometime after this EP "Transfer Trachea Reverberations from Point: False Omniscient." That is the vocalist you hear in this video. He told me personally that he was hearing music in his head (known as "Mare") and it was driving him crazy. He left The End so he could focus on getting that music out of his head. He was replaced by Aaron Wolfe who was a live vocalist for Burnt By The Sun. I must have seen them play 20 times because I fucking loved this band. I watched Tyler Semrick-Palmateer play his last show with The End in Guelph Ontario at the Trashateria. They played with "Maharahj" and "Cryptopsy" back when Mike Disalvo was in Cryptopsy. Fuck I'm getting old.

Cool have not listened to this in years good memories. This style sounded so underworked then more natural I suppose. Reminding me of Luddite Clone and Uphill Battle amongst others as well.

@peanutbuttercrunc100 Not what I'm saying. I totally agree with that. There are a lot of well-known bands I enjoy. I'm just saying that calling Tool the 'pinnacle of underground music' is incredibly asinine.

@xBillyTheKidx No. The live stuff was taken from Relapse Contamination Festival 2003 DVD. Quality live performance though.

@schellenberg1 i would argue that tool are one of the most over-interlecualised bands in alternative music, whilst many of their songs show innovation in song structure and acknowledging that maynard is a gifted vocalist, i can't help but feel blind praise is heaped upon them as they are seen as being a "thinking man's band" and as such are over analysed.

@schellenberg1 It's hard for me to even think of considering Tool 'underground'. EVERYONE knows about Tool. My parents have heard of Tool. I do like them, but they're definitely not the pinnacle of 'underground music'. Tool didn't even open the door. Meshuggah (just as one obvious example) was around before Tool. Why do all Tool fans get the mistaken idea that Tool is the origin of all 'underground' music? It does make a case that you're all ignorant as hell.

This album is a fucking monster. Within Dividia isnt bad. But I seriously thought it was entirely different band on that Elementary album. What a terrible sound.

What do you mean this band isn't that good? Are you fucking def? Granted their new shit sucks but this older stuff was some good grind.

What are you talking about? The fact that you haven't heard of experimental doom bands before Mare doesn't mean that they didn't/don't exist. For example, more then a decade before Mare came out, Neurosis was incorporating synth, brass music, samples, noise etc. into their music. Another example worth mentioning is maudlin of the Well and its successor Kayo Dot. Both released records before Mare.

Meh. Not that similar to DEP. Math metal is math metal. I don't really listen to these guys, but Tool is fucking gay and if this is what The End used to sound like, switching to faggotty sell out sounds like Tool is one hell of a 180.

nothing to say technically, but this stuff makes ears bleed, I prefer Isis and Pelican, Growling like that makes me laugh, sounds retarded

Would you kindly elaborate on how Tool makes people ignorant? Tool opened up a whole world of music to me, eventually leading to this band and many others; they also lead me to new trains of thought I had never considered before. And although I absolutely love everything from Meshuggah to this, Tool is still my favorite band. Tool is the pinnacle of underground music and represents a refusal to conform to popular culture. Please explain your comment.

Yeah, he sounds so angry! I just can't take it! If I can't hear this as music than IT'S NOT MUSIC! Everyone else is wrong. I hate this fuckin' music. I hate everything that doesn't fit into my world. FUCK!

I'm confused... so they went from wanting to be Dillinger Escape Plan to wanting to be Tool? Make up your fucking minds.

The singer in the video is not the singer on the recording. Shortly after this EP was released, the original singer quit the group and this guy in the video took over.
